Changing lives

We aim to inspire many more young people than ever before in our charity's 21st year...

We help young people to develop their self-esteem, confidence, motivation and teamwork skills - the essential attributes for a fulfilling engagement with society and meaningful future.

UKSA... changing lives
Our wide-ranging work includes helping young people achieve their full potential through vocational maritime training, and inspiring self-belief in disadvantaged inner city children who have never seen the sea.
We have changed the lives of over 65,000 young people since 1987 by introducing them to activities afloat and maritime careers.

Our work is focused in four areas:

  • helping children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to develop key personal and social skills through watersports activities
  • enabling deserving young people to embark on training leading to meaningful maritime employment
  • providing assisted funding to people with disabilities to enable them to develop skills and confidence through yachting and watersports
  • providing young people with the opportunity to engage in high performance racing to assist in their personal development through intense challenge
